"ASPRS is pleased to offer thirteen awards totaling
more than $50,000 in value. Available to both undergraduate and graduate
student-members of ASPRS and others, these resources have been generated
with the intention of advancing academic and professional goals within the
fields of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and related disciplines. ASPRS
recognizes that students are the future of these rapidly evolving fields and
encourages all who are qualified to take advantage of these unique
opportunities.
Awards are available in the form of cash, travel grants, and
data. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in an accredited college or
university, and you must be a member of ASPRS for many, but not all, awards.
All awards ask that you submit samples of your work and research goals as part
of your application, and that you submit a report to ASPRS outlining your
research accomplishments upon completion of your grant period."

**Students must provide a valid student ID when they register. Students will be allowed to attend workshops at the reduced price on a space available basis. All student registrations for workshops that are received before October 1, 2013, will be held until that date. If there are spaces available at that time the student will be notified that their registration has been accepted. If a student workshop registration is not accepted, their workshop fee will be refunded in full.
Individual workshops are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of required registrations are not received by October 1, 2013.
Workshops are limited to a maximum of 40 attendees per workshop. Popular workshops sell out early and we do NOT keep a waiting list.

Standby Task Force
In an effort to increase our inter-group communication and collaboration on Monday July 15th, 2013, several team members, Coordinators and Core Team representatives held a meeting to address questions raised by members over the past few months.
A great deal of work, thought and discussion has gone into unpacking the issues at hand and trying to come to a more equitable understanding of the role volunteers, coordinators and the core team are expected to fill and under what conditions.
To that end, we would like to formally announce the proposal of a "Working Groups" model, aimed at providing the entire membership with a means to participate in and contribute to the evolution
of the SBTF as it moves into the future.
We are inviting all members to review the Working Groups proposal in full via this Google Form:

The form invites you to express your opinions on Working Group topics, your interest in signing up for one or more of groups, and any comments you may have on the proposal in its current form.
The form will remain open for comments and sign-ups until 09:00 EDT (13:00 UTC) on Thursday, 25 July. Please complete and submit your thoughts by then. The Core Team will thereafter review the results and, based on the views submitted by the entire membership, decide on the final viability of
the Working Groups.
If you are a member who has been silent for some time, engaged daily, or just joined, your opinion is valuable! As an individual interested in working with the SBTF moving forward, it is important that you have a voice in what that organization will look like.
We look forward to reading your comments and working together to support the critical work of the Standby Task Force.
