STANDBY TASK FORCE needs your help
Dear Mapsters,
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) has just activated the Standby Task Force to help them respond to the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Pakistan yesterday. This activation is only for 48 hours and simply requires the tagging of tweets and images--simple point and click of the mouse--so super easy to volunteer your time, even for just a few minutes.
There are two ways for you to volunteer (you can do both!), the first is by tagging tweets here (should be self-explanatory):

The other is by tagging images (based on level of damage you see in each image). You’ll see that this is also self-explanatory. The link for this will go live shortly but in the meantime, here’s a quick introduction to how the image tagging works:

Once we have tagged enough images, we plan to geo-tag them as well using MicroMappers. Stay tuned for that link.
